Wednesday Season 2 will be released in 2024 in Ireland. Following the immense success of Netflix and Tim Burton’s Addams Family stand-alone series Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega, the streamer renewed it for a second season in January 2023.
The decision came less than three months after the premiere of the eight-episode Season 1, which ultimately became the most-watched original series ever on the streamer with more than 252 million viewers.
The season 1 finale received 12 Emmy nominations, including for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Ortega. And it is also becoming the third Latina to be nominated in the leading actress category.
