Happy New Year Box Office Collection – “Happy New Year” is a Hindi-language action comedy film released in 2014. It was directed by Farah Khan and produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. The movie stars an ensemble cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah, and Jackie Shroff. Yash Raj Films distributed the movie worldwide.

The plot of the film revolves around a group of losers who transform themselves into a team that aims to pull off the biggest diamond heist ever seen. They eventually win over the hearts of people in the city and across the world. The movie was made on a total budget of ₹150 crores (US$24.58 million). It marked the third collaboration of the lead actor, producer, and director who previously worked on “Main Hoon Na” (2004) and “Om Shanti Om” (2007), the latter of which also featured Padukone as the female lead. “Happy New Year” was released on Diwali 2014 with dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu. It gained around 4,200 screens in Hindi and 800 screens in Tamil and Telugu, which was the biggest film release in India up until then. While the movie received mixed reviews from critics, who appreciated the cast performances, soundtrack, humor, cinematography, action sequences, production design, and visual effects, it was criticized for its writing, length, and pace. It grossed ₹25 crore (US$4.1 million) in India on its opening day and eventually grossed a total of ₹394 crore (US$64.56 million) worldwide.

At the 60th Filmfare Awards, “Happy New Year” received two nominations – Best Supporting Actor (Bachchan) and Best Female Playback Singer (Shreya Ghoshal for “Manwa Laage”).
