The Goat Life is an upcoming Malayalam-language survival drama film directed, written, and co-produced by Blessy. The film is an international co-production, involving Indian and US-based companies, and is based on the best-selling Malayalam novel Aadujeevitham by Benyamin. The story is inspired by the real-life experiences of Najeeb, a Malayali immigrant laborer, who was forced into slavery in Saudi Arabia as a goatherd on a secluded farm in the deserts by the native Arabs.

The latest box office collection of the movie “Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life” on Day 14 has been recorded at Rs.0.25 Cr in India net. The total box office collection of the movie in India net has reached Rs.62.50 Cr.

The film production ended on July 14, 2022. It was released worldwide on March 28, 2024, and received a positive response for its story and the lead actors’ performances. The film has grossed over ₹115 crore (US$14 million). The budget of this film is Rs 82 crores.

Najeeb Muhammed and Hakim, two immigrants from Kerala, India, travel to Saudi Arabia with visas arranged by their acquaintance Sreekumar in hopes of improving their lives. However, upon arriving at the airport, they are stranded without knowing their employer. An Arab local mistakenly assumes he is their boss and offers to help. After a long journey, they are separated and Najeeb is left to work in a remote desert goat herd. Najeeb is left to work in a remote desert goat herd.

Najeeb, a goatherd, endures tough conditions and loneliness and is devastated when a fellow goatherd dies, making him realize the danger he is in. After several years of hardship, he is reunited with Hakim, who introduces him to a Somalian goatherd named Ibrahim Khadiri, who is knowledgeable about escape routes. They take advantage of an opportunity during Khafeel’s daughter’s wedding and flee into the desert.

Najeeb is facing imprisonment due to his documentation issues. He meets Khafeel, but unfortunately, Khafeel is not his official sponsor and cannot take him back. Despite this setback, Najeeb eventually manages to return home.
